In this series of artworks, Katherine Colborn explores themes of quietness, sanctuary, memory, liminality, and longing. Inspired by domestic interiors and the experience of travel, she pursues a sacred pause that exists in the ‘in-between,’ a stillness that is only possible in spaces that can offer enough room for a simultaneous coming and going. Her paintings and installation work will be on display at Greensboro Project Space April 8-12. A public reception will be held on Friday, April 12 from 6-8pm to celebrate the closing of this exhibition and Zoe Sasson’s exhibition, Little Sister, which closes on the same day.
